Initially,
Payson Contractors did not do professional
painting, but in recent years, Payson
Contractors founder worked extensively
with two of New Jersey's top painting professionals.
As a result, it was found that
"painting" was not just a can
of paint, a drop cloth, and a
roller. A job done right requires
many hours of preparation before paint
can be properly applied. Interior
and exterior paint applications are uniquely
different. Preparations include:
For
Interior:
We
remove old or excess caulk around
windows, doors, and
trim. Re-caulk all off the above
We
fix all nail-pops, cracks, water damage,
stains, nail
holes, and all other wall damage
We
dust off door, window, base, and all
other trim and
molding
We
pole-sand all wall and ceiling surfaces
to get rid of all
unwanted blemishes
If
existing trim has been painted before,
we wipe it down
with TSP (TriSodiumPhosfate) which
removes all dirt and
grease that may have
accumulated.
If
necessary, an oil or water based primer
is applied
For
Exterior:
Scrape
& grind any loose paint
Fill
any holes or blemishes with filler
Prime
or spot-prime as necessary using an oil
based
primer
After
the preparation is complete, Payson
Contractors applies as
many coats of top quality paint as
needed to achieve the results you
demand. We use only MURAlO
